Description
The Old Vicarage is a house that was formerly a vicarage, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. The original block features colourwashed roughcast render on the exterior, while the later rear block is constructed of brick. The roofs are covered with clay tiles and have decorative ridge cresting. The front block is two storeys high and follows a three-room plan, while the rear block creates an overall double-pile plan with a two-span roof.
The southeast elevation is symmetrical, with the ground floor showcasing two canted bays that have corbelled bases and leaded roofs. The first floor contains three 2-light casements, all with glazing bars. The central doorway features a moulded surround and a pediment door hood supported by cut brackets, leading to a six-panel door with the top two pairs being glazed. The entire front is adorned with wood trellis work, and wrought iron rose arches extend from the ground floor. Both gable ends have external brick stacks, which are partly colourwashed and topped with octagonal pots.
