Description

The Hare and Hounds Public House is a 17th-century building that was reworked in the 19th century. It features a colourwashed roughcast exterior over a timber frame and has a clay tile roof. The building has a four-room plan, consisting of one storey and attics. On the ground floor, there are four five-light casements, while the attic is adorned with four eyebrow dormers, each containing two-light casements. All windows are small-paned cast iron casements, with the ground floor windows having simple labels. The central doorway is framed by a large 19th-century gabled open porch that has decorative bargeboards. A substantial brick double ridge stack is located between the two right-hand bays.
