Lodge cottage belonging to Old Warden Park. 1874 by Henry Clutton for Joseph Shuttleworth. Yellow brick with stone dressings. Tile roof. 2-room plan, one storey and attics. Jacobean style. N elevation: central half-canted porch has segmental arched entrance with moulded surround and label and single lights to side elevations. To L of this is 2-light window which wraps around corner to provide single-light to E gable end. Square-headed arcading to parapet. E gable end: single lights to both ground floor corners. 4-light window to attic. Stone coping and finial. W gable end: similar to E, but with 4-light ground floor window instead of single lights. All windows have 3-centred head to each light, and have moulded labels with the stops merging into the wall. All elevations have a stone band at hood mould level, and a moulded cornice at first floor sill level. Rebuilt triple stack with diagonal shafts to S elevation. Flat roofed addition to S.
