Description

Attertons Farmhouse is a house dating to the 17th century. It is timber framed with red brick infill and has a clay tile roof. The house was originally designed with a 4-room plan, spanning two storeys. The ground floor has one 3-light window and two 2-light windows. The first floor has one single-light window flanked by two 2-light windows, which are in turn flanked by two 3-light windows; all are casement windows with glazing bars. A 20th-century door is located in the second bay. The roof is characterised by diamond patterning formed with darker tiles, bearing the inscription "1880". The house has one brick ridge stack and two integral brick gable end stacks. A lower block was added to the rear in the late 19th century, with further alterations in the early 20th century.
