Description
The Church of All Saints is a Grade II* listed building located in Caddington. It features flint rubble with ashlar quoins and dates back to the late 12th century. A notable element is the doomway reset in the south aisle, which has a zig-zag patterned arch and stiff-leaf capitals. The chancel arch is of a similar period, although the chancel itself was rebuilt in the 19th century when the vestry was added. The north chapel was constructed in the 14th century and extended in the 15th century to create a north aisle. The south aisle and west tower were also added during the 15th century. The church underwent significant restoration in 1875. Inside the nave, there is a brass memorial for John and Elizabeth Hawt from 1505, and a brass in the north aisle commemorating Edward Dormer, his two wives, and their 14 children from 1518.
