Description

Ivy Cottage is a former estate cottage located on Church Road in Tingrith, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The cottage is built with colourwashed roughcast render on its walls and has slate roofs. The main block is two storeys high and contains two rooms. A two-storey gable projects from the rear. The architectural style is picturesque. The front features two two-storey canted bays, each with a wider ground floor section. The windows are fitted with cast iron lattice casements. A central gabled porch, with a slate roof, features a moulded door surround with paterae to the angles and a six-panel door. Rendered integral stacks flank the gable ends, each with paired octagonal shafts. The gable ends and the porch gable are adorned with pierced decorative bargeboards and finials.
