Description

The Cottage is a 17th-century house, believed to have belonged to the Parochial Charity. It features timber-framed construction with colourwashed plaster infill and a clay tile roof. The building has a two-room plan and stands two storeys high, with the gable end facing the road. There is a single-storey lean-to attached to the road gable end. On the east elevation, the ground floor left-hand bay has a 20th-century bow window, while the right-hand bay contains one two-light and one three-light casement window, both with glazing bars. The first floor has two two-light casements and one single light, all also with glazing bars. A red brick double ridge stack is present, along with a 20th-century addition to the elevation.
