Description

The privy at the southwest end of South Walk is a two-seater facility dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is a small, rectangular building with a gabled roof, constructed from timber and featuring log-work decoration on the exterior. The roof is covered with slate. There are small windows on the north and south elevations, and a round-headed doorway on the west elevation, which has a flush panel door. The log-work radiates from the round doorhead. Inside, against the east wall, there are remains of a two-seater wooden lavatory seat.
