Description

The North Bridge, located north of Middle Pond in Old Warden, is a bridge likely built in the early 19th century for the 3rd Lord Ongley. It features an ornate cast iron design with a hump-backed shape. The balustrades spiral at the ends, ending in newel posts topped with finials that resemble burning brands. The handrail is supported by developed anthemion panels, which are separated by groups of fairly plain balusters. The bridge is stamped "Cato and Sons London."
