Description

Number 97, High Street is an 18th-century house of timber frame construction, originally with a colourwashed roughcast finish. It has a thatched roof, with a lower addition to the east gable end. The original house comprised two rooms, with one storey and attics. The ground floor features two two-light casement windows with glazing bars. There are two eyebrow dormers in the attic, each with a small two-light casement window. A 20th-century door is positioned on the right-hand side, sheltered by a gabled open porch. A red brick double ridge stack rises from the roof. The right-hand block of the house incorporates 20th-century casement windows.
