Description
This is a headstone commemorating Thomas Breade, who died in 1716. It is made of limestone and stands approximately 0.75 metres high. The east side features an inscribed tablet set within a deep moulded frame, flanked by fluted Corinthian pilasters, and topped with a deeply carved winged putto head beneath a moulded segmental head. The west side is plain and bears the following inscription: "The world is nothing, Heaven all I have lost nothing by my fall. Go tell my Friends when they do weep I am not dead but gone to sleep."
