Description

The front terrace wall to numbers 65 to 75 (odd), known as the Cart Almshouses, dates from around 1723. It is constructed of red brick and features a retaining wall with a parapet in front of the almshouses. The wall is topped with stone coping and has short wrought iron railings. There are central steps leading up to the terrace from the pavement, flanked by wrought iron railings on either side. This wall is included for its group value, as it forms part of a group with numbers 65 to 75 (odd) and Chew's House.
