Description

The Friars is an early 19th-century building located on the west side of High Street South. It features a front made of purple brick with red dressings and quoins, topped with a Welsh slate roof that has a moulded wood cornice. The building is two storeys high and has five double-hung sash windows set in reveals with flat arches, lacking glazing bars. A Roman Doric porch with simple details leads to an elaborate oblong fanlight above a four-panel door. At the back, there is an old tile roof.
