Description

The Bakehouse is a house dating from the 17th century, which was refronted in the 19th century. It features a substantial timber frame with red brick infill, and the front elevation has been rebuilt in red brick. The roof is half-hipped and covered with clay tiles. The main block is two storeys high and has a three-room plan. On the ground floor, there are three 3-light casement windows and one single light window, all with glazing bars. The first floor also has three 3-light casement windows. The ground floor windows have cambered heads. There is a doorway between the two right-hand bays that has a part-glazed door. A red brick double ridge stack is located between the two left-hand bays, and there is an integral red brick stack at the right gable end. At the rear, there is a 19th-century brick wing.
