Description
Willow Hill Cottages, located at Willow Hill Farm, are a pair of cottages that were originally the farmhouse. They date back to the 17th century and have undergone later alterations. The cottages were once marked with a date plaque reading "G.T. 1791" (for Godfrey Thornton). The exterior features colourwashed roughcast over timber framing and brick, topped with a 20th-century tile roof that is half-tipped to the west. The cottages have a three-room plan and are two storeys high with attics. Each floor has three 3-light casement windows, and there are three hipped dormers in the attic. There are two doors: the left one is a six-panel door with a flat hood supported by cut brackets, while the right door is part-glazed and set within a 20th-century glazed porch. At the rear, there is an out-shot. An adjoining one-storey outbuilding and barn are located at the eastern gable end, with the outbuilding featuring a clay tile roof and roughcast render, and the barn having weatherboarding and a pantile roof.
