Description

Willow Cottage and Corner Cottage, located at Park Corner, is a house that dates from the early 19th century and has been divided into two separate dwellings. The building is one storey high with attics and is constructed from timber framing with plaster, showing some traces of comb-pargetting. It features a roof covered with black glazed pantiles. Inside, there is an internal chimney stack made of small Tudor bricks and a plain shaft, along with an end stack. The gables have pierced and fluted bargeboards.

The windows are 2-light casements with flat hoodmoulds in a Tudor style; Willow Cottage has diamond-leaded panes, while Corner Cottage has a single cross-bar to the lights. There are three gabled dormers, each with 2-light 19th-century casement windows, fluted bargeboards, and spike and ball finials. At the southeast end of Willow Cottage, there is a single-storey extension that is rendered and has a hipped roof made of clay pantiles. The exposed timbers inside are plain and lightweight, featuring bisected studs, primary braces, and joists set on edge, indicating that the interior dates no earlier than the exterior.
