Description
Sharon is a 17th-century house located in Great Barton, set gable-end to the road. It has one storey and attics, featuring a timber-framed structure that is rendered with old roughcast and topped with a thatched roof. The house includes an internal chimney stack made of Tudor red bricks, which is rounded off at the top.
On the gable end, there is an overhang at the eaves' level supported by posts. Each storey has a 2-light casement window with a single bar to the lights. The south side of the house features old 2-light and 3-light casement windows with pintle hinges, along with a gabled dormer that has a plaintiled roof. The entrance door consists of six flush panels, with the top two being glazed, and it is framed by a moulded surround and architrave. Additionally, there is a single-storey lean-to along the north side.
