Description
Clapham Park Farmhouse is a late 16th century or 17th century timber-framed house with a stone gabled wing added to the left side. Most of the building was covered with pebbledash render in the 19th century. The south gable end and the ground floor of the west elevation of the timber-framed wing were rebuilt in red brick, likely in the late 17th century or early 18th century, and this brickwork is still visible. The original wing has two storeys and an old clay tile roof. The first floor features casement windows with glazing bars. The west elevation includes a canted bay window on the ground floor, which dates from the 19th century. The stone wing also has two storeys and attics, and there is a 19th century cut bracketed door hood on the west gable end.
