Description

The railings at the Swan Hotel were built in the early to mid-19th century. They are made of cast iron and stand on a plinth wall made of ashlar stone. The railings extend approximately 40 meters along the south side of the hotel in an east-west direction. The design features a repeated series of nine cast-iron swanneck balusters, each topped with a rectangular margined panel. These elements are connected by a top rail that has two pointed finials above each baluster.
