Description
St Helena is a house dating from the 17th century, located on the west side of Elstow High Street. The building features a timber-framed front block with pebbledash render, while the rear block is constructed of chequered brick. It has a clay tile roof adorned with bands of fishscale tiles. The original part of the house has a three-room plan and stands two storeys high with attics. On the ground floor, there are three 3-light casements, and the first floor has two 3-light casements flanking a 2-light one. The attic features two 2-light casements set in large gabled dormers. Additionally, there are red brick external double stacks at both gable ends. The house was refenestrated in the 19th century, with a 19th-century block added to the rear.
