Description
Berry Farmhouse is a substantial farmhouse built in the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features an old clay tile roof. The building has a basic rectangular plan with a small extension to the north. It stands two storeys tall with attics and has stone coped gable ends.
The front elevation includes three hipped dormers, each with 2-light leaded casements. On the first floor, there are three casements set in flush moulded wood frames that include mullions and transoms, also with leaded lights. The ground floor features two similar casements on either side of a central front door, which has a wooden lintel above it. The northern extension is lower and consists of two storeys, with a 4-light casement on the ground floor and a 3-light casement on the first floor. Attached to the northern limit of the site is a gabled cross-wing that is one storey high with attics.
