Description
Bromham CVP School and Schoolhouse is a village school built in 1861, featuring an ornel style. The building is constructed of coursed limestone and has a clay tile roof with a large diamond pattern created by a single line of darker tiles. The school has a T-shaped layout with the schoolhouse attached, forming an irregular H shape. The schoolroom is located at the south end, with its gable end facing the road. It features a large bargeboard with a relief inscription and a drop finial at the apex above a clock set into the wall. The gable end also includes a large two-light stone mullion and transom window. The central part facing the road has two gabled dormers with pierced bargeboards. The schoolhouse at the north end of the road elevation has a gable end with projecting eaves supported by large moulded brackets and plain bargeboards. There are three dormers on the south elevation and a large square stone porch. Similar architectural details are present on the other elevations.
