Description

Maple Cottage and The Maples are an early 19th-century house and cottage located on the north side of Harrold High Street. The buildings are constructed from coursed limestone rubble and feature a banded plain and fishscale tile roof with gable coping. They rise two storeys with attics, and there is a 20th-century box dormer. The first floor has five leaded casement windows with mullions and a transom, all beneath drip moulds. On the ground floor, there are two similar casement windows alongside a central bay window. The Maples includes a 20th-century stone gabled porch, while Maple Cottage has a shallow bracketed doorhood.
