Description

This is a late 19th-century house, built in 1869, in a cottage orné style. It is timber-framed with red brick infill. The house has a steep, pitched roof covered in bands of fish-scale clay tiles and a large central brick stack. The rectangular plan is two storeys high. The front elevation facing the road features a large gabled dormer with a four-light casement window above a ground-floor bay. The west gable end has a first-floor jetty with a four-light casement window over a ground-floor bay. The east elevation has a small porch with a bracketed, sloping head and two-light casement windows to each floor. Two dormers are visible in the rear roof slope. The main windows have diamond-leaded lights.
