Description

38-40 Village Road is a house from the 17th or 18th century, positioned gable end to the road. It is built from colour-washed coursed limestone rubble, with some areas roughcast over a timber frame, and features a thatched roof. The house has two storeys and a single-sided central chimney that heats the eastern room, with gable end stacks added later. On the north side, there is a simple door hood, while the south elevation includes three 3-light casement windows with glazing bars and an off-centre front door.
