Description
Bottom Lodge, to Turvey House, is a small lodge built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed roughly squared limestone and features a slate roof with stone gable coping and moulded kneelers. The building has a T-plan and is one storey high. The east gable end facing the road displays a coat-of-arms set within a stone architrave, featuring a shield with three cranes' heads on a scallop shell. Below this, there is a three-light casement window with pointed arched lights and a drip moulding. The projecting gabled wing on the north elevation includes a two-light casement window on its east side. Additionally, the north gable end has a flat-roofed porch with a moulded cornice and lancet side lights.
