Description
Nos 2 and 6 Ford Lane, formerly known as Park Farmhouse, are two houses dating from around 1600. The buildings are timber framed, primarily rendered and colour washed, although some limbers are exposed on No 2. They feature a clay tile roof that is hipped at the southeast corner and gabled elsewhere. The main block is long with a projecting wing at the center of the southwest elevation and a cross-wing, which may be of earlier origin, to the southeast. The houses are two storeys tall. Most of the windows are from the 20th century, but the cross-wing retains some 19th-century features, including a three-light horizontal sash window. There are doors on the north and south elevations, all from the 20th century. The roof dates from the 18th century and there is a plaque on the north wall that reads "T.B.III (?) 1704". Additionally, there is an 18th-century single-storey lean-to on the southwest elevation and a late 19th-century brick barn adjoining to the northwest.
