Description
10 and 12 Church Road, known as Damson Cottage, are 17th and 18th century cottages built of coursed limestone rubble. The gable end facing the road is constructed in colourwashed brick above the eaves level, and both cottages have thatched roofs.
No. 10, which is set further back from the road, is two stories tall and features two three-light casement windows on the first floor, along with three ground floor casements, the central one being a two-light window, all supported by timber lintels.
No. 12 is a one-story building with attics, featuring a gabled dormer on the north elevation and one ground floor casement window with glazing bars. The gable end has a three-light casement window on each floor. There is a rear extension that is one story, roughcast, and has a pantiled roof, but this extension is not of special interest.
