Description

The Former Stevington Lower School is a building from 1863, originally part of the Bedford Estate. It is constructed from coursed stone rubble with ashlar dressings and features an old clay tile roof. The building has an L-plan layout, with a left-hand projecting gable wing. The gable end includes four-light casement windows that have heavy stone mullions and a transom. Similar windows are found on the other wing. At the angle between the wings, there is a hipped roof porch. The side wall is divided into small squares, each framed in timber and hung with concrete tiles. The entrance features a four-centred arched doorway.
