Description

Walnut Cottage is a 17th-century house located on High Street in Kempston Urban. It features a timber frame with a colourwashed roughcast exterior and a clay tile roof. The building has a three-room plan and consists of one storey with attics. On the ground floor, there are two three-light casement windows flanking a four-panel door. The attic includes a gabled dormer with a two-light casement window. An external red brick stack is positioned at the west gable end, while a red brick double ridge stack, which is partly rendered, is located at the division between the two eastern bays. A 20th-century single-storey addition projects from the eastern end of the front.
