Description
Priory Farmhouse and the adjoining barn are mid-19th century structures built from coursed limestone rubble with an old clay tile roof. The farmhouse is two storeys tall, while the barn is slightly lower. The house features three ridge chimney stacks with moulded red brick flues that are set at right angles to the base. The gable ends of the house have decorated bargeboards, three large ornamental timber brackets, and corner buttresses. The south elevation of both the house and barn is supported by seven stone buttresses. The front of the house has two small gables with bargeboards. On the first floor, there are five three-light casement windows with glazing bars, while the ground floor has five casement windows as well, which are two-light with glazing bars and high-level transoms. The steeply-pitched gable has a bracketed door hood.
