Description
These are two 18th-century cottages located on Bell Lane in Eastcott. They are timber-framed with a colour-washed roughcast exterior and a clay tile roof. Each cottage originally had a single-room plan, although No. 8 has a later addition with a higher roofline. The original block of each cottage features two two-light casement windows on each floor. The central ground floor has a pair of part-glazed doors; the left-hand door has a flat hood, and the right-hand door has a gabled trellis-work porch. The later addition to No. 8 has a two-light casement window on the first floor and a 20th-century lean-to addition on the ground floor.
