Description

The K4 telephone kiosk, located south of the main station buildings, is a Grade II listed structure. This kiosk was introduced in 1930 as a modification of the K2 type and was designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. It is made of cast iron and features a wooden door. The kiosk is square with a domed roof and has glazed panels of equal width. The top panels have a perforated crown design. Inside, the rear of the kiosk includes a stamp machine and a letter box, which is illuminated by a bracket lamp. Although the kiosk is intact, it is not situated on its original site.
