Description
Two rock cut houses, located about 100 metres north-west of New House, are probably from the early 19th century. They are carved into the vertical face of a small sandstone quarry and feature bedrock with some brick dressings. The house on the left is a single storey with three windows and an entrance to the left of centre, although all fittings have been removed. There is a flue cut into the rock to the left. The house on the right also has three windows with brick dressings, all of which are 2-light casements. Its entrance, located to the right of centre, features a wooden architrave and a stable door, along with a brick flue to the right. Both houses are currently uninhabited.
