Description
Lychgate House is a house dating from the early 18th century, with some alterations made in the mid-20th century. It is constructed of brick with painted stone dressings and stands two storeys high with an attic. The attic is lit by a boxed glazing bar sash window, which is set under a rubbed brick head featuring a keystone in the gable. The building has stone quoins and two windows on the upper floor, which are also boxed glazing bar sashes under rubbed brick heads with keystones and stone sills that have consoles below. The central entrance on the ground floor has a moulded wooden architrave and a flat canopy supported by consoles, with a door made of six raised-and-fielded panels. The front of the house, facing the churchyard on the left, includes a blocked entrance and a dentilled brick cornice.
