Description

The Hooper memorial is a chest tomb located about 10 metres south of the tower of the Church of St Cassian in Chaddesley Corbett. It dates from 1802 and is made of ashlar stone. The tomb features a ridged and hipped capping, with balusters at the corners. An oval inscription panel is flanked by fluted pilasters. The main inscription on the south side reads: "Sacred to the memory of Thomas Hooper, (late of Cakebowl) who departed this life the 8th July 1802, Aged 58 years. Also to the memory of Charles Hooper who departed this life the 18th March 1804, Aged 28 years."
