Description

35 and 36 High Street is a pair of shops that were originally built with dwellings above around 1800. The buildings are constructed of brick and topped with Welsh slate roofs. Each shop is three storeys high and has two bays. The shopfronts, which date from around 1900, feature a central doorway and windows divided into three panes by slender wooden arcading. Above the shopfronts, there are 16-pane sash windows with flat-arched stuccoed heads that include voussoirs and keystones. The buildings also have a dentilled eaves cornice and gable end stacks.
