Description
Beam's End is a building that dates back to around 1730 and was originally three houses that have now been combined into one. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill set on a sandstone plinth, topped with a machine tile roof. The structure consists of three framed bays and stands two storeys tall, with an attic that is illuminated by four gabled dormers and a two-light casement window in the central gable. On the ground floor, there are five windows, which are modern casements, and the entrance is located at the left-hand corner, featuring a modern ledged and boarded door. The framing includes three square panels high with straight angle braces, and the gable-end truss has two struts supporting the collar. There have been some late 20th-century alterations to the building.
