Description

Harborough Hall is a house dating to 1635, with restoration work carried out in the mid-20th century. It is timber-framed and covered with a stucco render, featuring a machine tile roof. A prominent central chimney stack rises from the roof, incorporating four shafts arranged in a star shape and built from brick. The house has a lobby entrance and a symmetrical facade of two storeys, with a full-height projecting porch. Attic windows are set within the gables. The facade originally had three windows, but these have been replaced with 20th-century canted oriels designed to resemble 17th-century style windows. The central entrance now has a 20th-century two-leaf door, which obscures a surviving 17th-century entrance and its original door. To the left of the main house is a lower range, potentially dating back to the 16th century, containing a single window. A mid-20th century nursery wing extends from the main structure. Inside, a 17th-century plaster ceiling is present in a first-floor room on the left-hand side of the house.
