Description
No 32 on Severn Side South is likely two houses that have been combined into one. It dates from the late 18th century and incorporates some fragments from the 16th century, with alterations made in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of painted brick and includes some timber-framing, topped with a tiled roof. It has an L-shaped plan with a canted corner.
On the Severn Side front, the building has two storeys. To the left on the first floor, there is a 2-light casement window. On the ground floor, there is a 2-light casement window under a segmental head to the left, and to the right, an entrance to a passageway features a 4-centred arch with stone impost blocks. The entrance to the house on the left of the passage has a glazed door, and some timber-framing is visible on the right wall. The canted front has a 2-light casement window on the first floor, and on the ground floor, there are two 2-light casement windows under segmental heads, with the left window located in a blocked doorway.
On the side facing Lax Lane, there is a 2-light casement window on the first floor, and on the ground floor, there are two 2-light casement windows, with the left window also in a blocked doorway.
