Description
Torton Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the early 18th century, with a refronting from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rendered brick and features a slate roof with gable end stacks. The building stands three storeys tall and has a dentilled brick cornice. There are three windows, which include recessed framed glazing bar sashes that sit under bracketed cornices adorned with paterae and friezes. The second floor has a 6-pane window, although the central window is blocked. The ground floor features a 16-pane window flanking a central entrance that has a 6-panelled door, a 3-pane over-light, and a cornice. This farmhouse should not be confused with Torton House, which was previously listed as Torton Farmhouse and is now demolished.
