Description

Perry House is a house, likely dating from around 1741, with alterations made in the early 19th century and late 20th century. It is constructed of brick with a tile roof. The house is arranged in an L-shape, with limbs extending to the south and east, and a small, curved block forming the angle between them; gable end stacks are also present. The south elevation features brick verges and a brick dentilled cornice. A gabled wing projects to the left and is blind, with a hipped dormer window in the east roof slope illuminating the attic. The main part of the south elevation has three windows, two of which are late 20th-century 2-light and 3-light fixed casements. On the ground floor, a late 20th-century bow window is on the right, and a roughly central entrance has an ashlar doorcase consisting of an open pediment, engaged Doric columns, a radially glazed overlight, and a six-panel door. A date stone, with a flat, moulded top, has been reset in a blocked window in the east wall of the projecting wing.
