Description

58 and 60 High Street are early 17th century buildings with later alterations. They feature engraved stucco and stand two storeys tall with four sash windows and tiled roofs. The shop fronts are modern and set into the buildings. Inside No 58, there are exposed knee brace trusses on the first storey, along with traces of Elizabethan painting. Larger Elizabethan paintings can be found on the south end wall, although they are concealed behind modern panelling. Nos 58 to 66 (even) and the former barn at the rear of No 66 are part of a group.
