Description

Number 43 on High Street dates from around 1800 and is a three-storey building with three windows, although the centre window is blocked. The structure is made of brick and features a tile roof with gable ends. The windows are 12-pane sashes, with six panes at the top, and have keyblocks. The central door consists of six fielded panels and is framed by a moulded wood case that is fluted and panelled on the inside edge, topped with a moulded wood cornice. To the left, there is a later 19th-century shop window with three vertical bars, and to the right, there is another 12-pane sash window. The building also has a brick modillion eaves course.
