Description

Mere Green Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick, with a plain tiled roof and external gable end stacks with offsets. The farmhouse has two storeys, a cellar, and an attic containing dormers; it features a cogged eaves cornice. The building is three bays wide, and the windows have cambered heads. The outer bays have 3-light casement windows, while the first floor of the central bay has a 2-light casement window. There are three gabled dormers, each with a 2-light casement window. The central entrance is defined by a gabled, timber-framed porch set on a brick base with balustered sides; the porch timbers are chamfered and the gable apex has a long-lobed trefoil opening. A 6-panelled, part-glazed door with a cambered head leads into the farmhouse. There is an attic light in the left gable end. The interior has not been inspected. The farmhouse is accompanied by a good group of farm buildings.
