Description
No. 13 College Green is a house dated 1847, constructed in reddish-orange brick laid in Flemish bond with a purple brick diaper pattern. It features ashlar quoins and window dressings, topped with a slate roof. The building has decorative clusters of three and four star-shaped chimney stacks with pots located to the left and rear. Designed in the Tudor Gothic style, it is two storeys tall with attics in the gables. The entrance facade includes one first-floor window in the entrance range, with a symmetrical arrangement of first-floor windows. The quoins mark the angles, and the gables are coped. On the ground floor, there is a two-light mullion and transom window, while the first floor has a casement window and a slit window in the gable, all set in quoined surrounds. The entrance is positioned on the right and features a panelled door framed by a plain architrave, frieze, and hood. The interior has not been inspected. This house is a good example of early Victorian Tudor Gothic architecture. It is part of a significant group of listed buildings that contribute to the setting of Worcester Cathedral to the north side.
