Description

The monastic ruins are the remains of the Benedictine monastery, which included the Cathedral as its monastic church. The site features remnants of the Guesten Hall, dating from around 1320, as well as vaulted undercrofts of Norman buildings that likely served as the monastic dormitory and infirmary. This site is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
