Description
The National Westminster Bank is a house that has been converted into a bank, dating from the early 19th century. It is built of red brick and features two shallow-pitched slate roofs. The building stands three storeys high and has a moulded eaves cornice. It is designed with three bays; the windows on the ground and first floors have gauged flat heads. The outer bays on the ground and first floors contain 16-pane sash windows, while the central first-floor window is a 12-pane sash. The outer bays on the second floor have 8-pane sashes, and there is a central second-floor window with 6 panes. The central entrance is distinguished by an open pediment, fluted pilasters, panelled reveals, a 6-panelled door, and a traceried fanlight. The interior has not been inspected.
