Description
Nos 9, 10, 11, and 12 Church Green is a row of three houses that have been converted into a shop and offices. They were built in the early 19th century and have had some alterations in the mid-20th century. The buildings are constructed of painted stuccoed brick and feature shallow-pitched slate roofs with brick ridge stacks. They stand three storeys tall and have moulded eaves cornices. The façade is arranged in a pattern of three, two, and two bays.
The first-floor windows consist of 16-pane sashes, except for a 4-pane sash in the first bay and a 16-pane casement in the fourth bay. The second-floor windows are all 6-pane sashes. The ground floors of Nos 9 and 10 have plain shop fronts, two doorways with moulded flat canopies, and mid-20th century doors. There is also a harrow archway with a cambered head to the left of centre. No 11 features a hipped continuous tiled canopy above two mid-20th century bow windows and a half-glazed door. No 12 has a large mid-20th century plate glass shop front and glazed door, along with a carriage archway with a cambered head to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
