Description

The Kings Head Public House is a mid-18th century inn built on an earlier core, with alterations from the 19th century. It has an L-shaped layout with hipped plain tile roofs and prominent brick stacks in the corners. The building is three storeys high. The front has a two-window arrangement of 19th century sliding sash windows, with a pilastered doorcase in the centre, the upper storeys of which are now painted. Attached to the south is a two-storey stable with a hipped roof and an arched carriage entrance. This stable has a 18th century brick facade over a 17th century timber frame structure, featuring a queen-strut collar-and-tie beam roof. A brick range extends to the northwest, with a plain tile roof, half-hipped at the west gable.
